Một người ốm ở Tobago

Chỉ ăn cháo gạo, cháo sago

Nhưng cuối cùng thì may mắn đến

Ông bác sĩ khám xong đã dặn:

“Từ nay chuyển sang ăn thịt bò”.

There was a sick man of Tobago

Lived long on rice-gruel and sago;

But at last, to his bliss,

The physician said this:

“To a roast leg of mutton you may go.”

Một cô gái trẻ từ nước Nga

Hét to lấn át hết người ta

Tiếng hét của cô to ầm ĩ

Chưa ai từng nghe to như thế

Như tiếng cô gái từ nước Nga.

There was a Young Lady of Russia,

Who screamed so that no one could hush her;

Her screams were extreme,

No one heard such a scream,

As was screamed by that lady of Russia.
